Description
DART engine cowl swivel prop rod replaces basic aircraft prop rod with a stainless steel alternative with added functionality. The basic AS350 only permits the cowl to be propped in the partially opened position, for improved access the cowl must either be removed or an unstable shop aid would be used to support. Once installed the engine cowl can be supported in the partially open position offered by the basic prop rod as well as the fully open position. The swivel prop rod delivers increased safety and efficiency of maintenance on the global AS350 fleet. DART is committed to increase the safety of operations and maintenance activities.
*Rod has an articulated swivel joint allowing engine cowl to be propped against the lifting lug on the engine in addition to the position on the roof deck. Only compatible on aircraft equipped with Turbomeca Arriel engine. Price is per aircraft.
