Main Rotor Lever Tension Link Tool

*This tool is necessary, at line maintenance level, to remove the M/R pitch link to satisfy scheduled maintenance requirements for play check (axial) of the upper and lower spherical bearings (off the aircraft). It must be used to rotate the M/R tension link to obtain enough clearance between the M/R lag damper attachment point and the M/R pitch change lever, in order to remove the attachment bolts on the upper side of the M/R pitch link. The best way to prevent damages to the main rotor is to get action against the droop stop plate.
