OEM Wearplates and Wearpads are designed for durability under normal wear conditions, however, training and run-on landings present unique requirements for durability far in excess of normal operations. Even high gross weight landings in rocky or abrasive areas can prove damaging to skidtubes with lesser protection. DART Heavy Duty Wearplates are specially designed for the harsh use of utility work, training flights and run-on landings. DART Heavy Duty Wearplates, compatible with OEM Skidtubes, installed using clamps and pick up some fasteners for easy installation or replacement but prevents rotation of the wearplate on the skidtube. DART Heavy Duty Wearplates are constructed of corrosion- resistant stainless steel and feature a full length stainless steel wear bar with areas of generously overlaid highly wear resistant tungsten carbide. Installed with a corrosion- resistant compound between the skidtube and wearplate (prevents the need for gaskets or sealant.
